Should be RB26, keep it in the family. Looks ok I guess, the bodykit has to go. I’m not quite sure who would want to spend 12K on a modded 240SX but whatever.

Probably because of the relatively availability of 2JZ parts (oem and aftermarket) in the country compared to more scare and higher-priced RB26 parts (an engine we never legally received state-side)

This is exactly why.

I wish honda people where that smart. I die a little whenever I see an EG Civic with a JDM franken-engine.

I don’t understand brand loyalty or the “keep it in the family” thing. Want to put an LSx in a Mustang? Sweet. 2JZ in a Chevelle? Awesome. Iron duke in a Supra? Um... k. None of these car companies has ever done anything for me, so why should I care who made what part of it? Mix and match parts- it’s what hot rodding is all about.

They went to toyota to get a engine instead of using an engine from nissan? weird.
the stock engine could have been upgraded. Or at least see if a 350Z/SR20 engine would have worked.

I see ones with an LS swap from time to time in the mid teens and think the same thing.
